Aspiring Village has recently taken over the ownership of Aspiring Care on Cardrona Valley. Aspiring Care, formally called Aspiring Enliven Care Centre and run by Presbyterian Support Otago (PSO), offers specialised hospital-level and dementia care. Rooms at Aspiring Care will continue to be available to the general public via a needs assessment process.
Aspiring Village CEO Aaron Armstrong stated “we are thrilled to add Aspiring Care to our offering at Aspiring Village. Supported living and care rooms are crucial to enabling our residents to stay in the Wanaka region and receive the level of care they need at every stage. We are dedicated to continuing the great level of care provided by PSO and delighted to work alongside the wonderful team of 78 staff, from 18 different countries, who provide care and support 24 hours a day to Aspiring Care residents. This is a fabulous addition to the retirement lifestyle options on offer at Aspiring Village”.
Aspiring Village is currently home to 182 residents, with 140 independent-living villas and apartments, 24 serviced apartments (Pembroke Apartments), 52 care rooms (Aspiring Care) including a palliative care suite operated by the Upper Clutha Hospice Trust and two after-hours acute care rooms operated by Central Otago Health Services.
