Aspiring Village is a family-owned business – we are not part of a large corporate retirement village chain.
Most of our owners are families based locally in Wanaka. This means we can take a unique approach to operating the village as we understand what it is like to live in this special region, and we can be more responsive to the needs of our residents.
We take this personal touch into the management of the village, choosing our staff carefully for both their professionalism and caring approach.
Our team will respect your privacy and independence and will be there to support you if you need it.

A little history…
The vision for Aspiring Village started when Peter and Dee Gordon and their friends were talking about the type of retirement lifestyle they aspired to – one where they could continue to be involved in their local community, experience a holiday-type lifestyle and enjoy the company of friends and family. Like many people in this community, they were also aware that hospital care would need to be a part of this vision.
Aspiring Village is the culmination of this dream. Peter and Dee have joined forces with co-shareholders – the Anderson, Foster and Armstrong families who have over 80 years combined experience in the retirement village industry.
